Snowboarding

Great sunshine, great snow, great company – another well organised Oak Hall holiday.  I saw a new phenomenon this year.  If you don’t like skiiing or boarding, why not get your bike out?

We saw the end of this race unfold underneath us as we travelled up the mountain early one morning in the purple people eater.  This is the route I took down the mountain most mornings – great stuff!

Well you have to be R24 (psychiatric) for something like that! Did you give it a go …. lol. That is fast, not forgetting that it’s on a bike (with those pedal thingies and no motor) and it’s on snow / ice! 111kph! I have never skied (is that the correct verb Mr Teacher Sir?) and this would be great but I’d have fallen over running to the bike!

Didn’t give it a go – had enough trouble staying upright on my board! Would have been a bit of an adrenalin rush I guess – you wouldn’t want to get in their way though, not the most popular group amongst skiers (maybe hated even more than boarders…)
