Edinburgh

I spent this weekend in Edinburgh watching my friend Phil compete in the marathon on Sunday, it was the first time I had been to the city and I’d love to go back and explore some more. We arrived late on Friday and John picked us up at the station. The next day while Phil was registering and driving the course I wandered up the Royal Mile, down Princes Street and along Leith Walk. Unfortunately, the weather on Sunday was miserable and a strong headwind meant it was really hard work but Steve, Phil and Paul all completed the course. Was I tempted to join them? Not once…
